“MatchMaker.com is an okay dating site but we can’t recommend it.”
“If you try out MatchMaker.com we can pretty much assure you that you won’t find yourself a perfect match.”
We read up on what others had to say about the dating sites we were about to review. Most of what we read about MatchMaker.com wasn’t favorable. But we did find a couple of reviews that were semi-positive. The first quote suggests using MatchMaker.com wouldn’t be a terrible option. The second quote, on the other hand, is pretty harsh.
We aren’t going to be harsh with our criticism of MatchMaker.com but we have to be honest with you. The truth is MatchMaker.com is misleads its customers. They suggest they are a real matchmaker but that simply is not the case. Perfect matches really are hard to find on there. You’re more likely to go out on a date with someone you have nothing in common with. That’s assuming you ever get a date. Many guys do not on this site.
MatchMaker.com: Reviewing Our Results On MatchMaker.com
- 450 total emails sent out in 90 days.
- 66 replies received.
- 1 first date setup.
- 0 female showed up for a first date.
As you can tell, our time spent on MatchMaker.com wasn’t exactly successful. After all, the whole purpose of signing up for a dating site is to, you know…get a date. We had zero dates show up on MatchMaker.com. The one girl we were supposed to meet flaked out but at least she was kind enough to give Randy – the dude reviewing the site – a heads up that she wouldn’t be able to make it. Apparently, she decided to get back with the ex. Lame.
At the conclusion of our review of each dating site, we asked a few questions to the lucky (or unlucky, depending on the site) guy that spent 90 days on there to get some feedback about the site. Those questions are as follows…
Question: What did you like best about this site?
Randy: How’s about absolutely nothing? Unless you want me to lie about what an amazing site MatchMaker.com is?
Question: How would you describe the women on there?
Randy: I honestly was not impressed with the quality of women on MatchMaker.com. They weren’t very nice to look at. But not only that they were stuck up. They didn’t have looks or personality.
Question: Is this a site you would recommend? Why or why not?
Randy: Of course this isn’t a dating site I would recommend. Would you recommend a crappy dating site to your friends?
What We Didn’t Like About MatchMaker.com. The MatchMaker.com Lowdown!
There’s quite a bit we didn’t like about MatchMaker.com. We’ll start with the women since that’s most important. MatchMaker.com has 2 strikes going against in with the women. First off, they just aren’t that attractive. We’re not trying to be shallow and we know looks aren’t everything. But there has to be SOME attraction. Also, there are far more guys than gals on MatchMaker.com. If you know anything about online dating you know it’s unfavorable to men if the male to female ratio is poor.
Should You Be Using MatchMaker.com For Online Dating?
We definitely wouldn’t suggest using MatchMaker.com for your online dating needs. Even the ladies out there would be disappointed with this site because the guys on there are total douchebags. You’re all better than that. Try out Match.com
instead. We just know you’ll love it.
