“PlentyOfFish.com is a great dating site. APRIL FOOLS!”
“There’s absolutely no positive we can say about PlentyOfFish.com.”
Is this the first dating site review you’ve read on here? If so, you probably don’t know that we like to get a feel for these sites before signing up. Prior to our membership on PlentyOfFish.com beginning we did some digging about the site. What we found wasn’t pleasant. And then we signed up and discovered it was probably even worse.
PlentyOfFish.com is a free dating site (for the most part). Now before you go sign-up for that site because you know it won’t cost you a penny, we need to warn you. You know the saying “you get what you pay for”? This applies to free dating sites. They’re free for a reason. The people on these sites use them solely because they are free and not because they are good.
People that are serious about meeting someone use pay sites. Why is that? Because the best quality members are on those sites. Anyone can sign-up for PlentyOfFish.com. That means the majority of the site is filled with, well…let’s just call them the lowest common denominator of society. Free sites are free for a reason. If you’re serious about online dating and going out on dates, you use a site that costs money. Just the way it is.
PlentyOfFish.com: Reviewing Our Results On PlentyOfFish.com
- 450 total emails sent out in 90 days.
- 41 replies received.
- 0 first date setup.
- 0 female showed up for a first date.
Are you good at math? You need to get a 50% response rate on your first contact emails if you expect to meet many women. 41 out of 450 isn’t exactly 50%. Therefore, it was nearly impossible to set up any dates. We had a few opportunities but that’s it.
At the conclusion of our review of each dating site, we asked a few questions to the lucky (or unlucky, depending on the site) guy that spent 90 days on there to get some feedback about the site. Those questions are as follows…
Question: What did you like best about this site?
Jason: It’s free. It didn’t cost us any money to sign-up. Unfortunately, that’s the only thing I liked about PlentyOfFish.com.
Question: How would you describe the women on there?
Jason: What’s there to describe? I don’t like criticizing people so I’m just not going to answer this question. I don’t have any room to judge so maybe it’s best that I refrain from commenting.
Question: Is this a site you would recommend? Why or why not?
Jason: I can’t recommend this site even though it’s free. You might think that since it’s free you have nothing to lose but actually you do. It’s called “time”.
What We Didn’t Like About PlentyOfFish.com. The PlentyOfFish.com Lowdown!
Every dating site has some negatives. Sites such as PlentyOfFish.com have more negatives than some other sites. There are a lot of things wrong with PlentyOfFish.com, such as…
- A ridiculous amount of men as compare to women.
- Most guys are just looking for sex on there.
- Most women are unattractive and/or lacking in other areas.
- Nobody serious about online dating uses a site like that.
Should You Be Using PlentyOfFish.com For Online Dating?
PlentyOfFish.com is a complete waste of time. Don’t be fooled by the free membership. It’s a waste of your time regardless. There are better things you could do with your time. Oh, here’s one…sign-up for Match.com
or one of the other sites listed in our top 5 (see positive reviews section for more details). Yes, those sites cost money. But they aren’t expensive and they are GREAT places to meet new people and potentially find a long-term relationship.
